We always welcome your donations of food, clothing and household goods. Just drop in to the Place Activity Centre, 2A Melrose St, Sherwood, Nottingham NG5 2JP, just behind the Nottingham Community Transport bus depot.

We take in the following donations
Unopened tins, packets and jars or food
Pasta, rice, noodles, cereals
Tea, coffee, juice, cordial
Fresh fruit and veg
Pet food
Nappies and sanitary products
Unused toiletries
Adult and children’s clothing and shoes
Small children’s toys

Please note, we don’t take in the following items due to food and health and safety protocols
 milk ,cheese and any other diary items
Frozen, defrosted or any refrigerated ready meals
Ready to eat foods such as sandwiches,
Cooked or refrigerated meats
Household accessories/ Bric A Brac
Soft Furnishings
Large kids’ toys
Prams baby chairs

Please bring donations only during our Saturday opening hours. Items left outside when we’re closed can lead to fly-tipping at the Place Activity Centre. Questions about what to donate? We ask that food donations are still in date, that clothing is clean and in wearable condition and that any household items are also in good condition and working.

Every donation will support people and reduce waste.
